From new office openings and new alliances to the birth of our webshop and the start of a new vision, it has been a busy and eventful 2024 for the entire Big Dutchman Asia family.

Inauguration of a New Office and Warehouse in Bangkok, Thailand
We proudly marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of our new 2,200 sqm office and warehouse in Bangna, Bangkok. This event, led by Bernd Meerpohl, Jan Hofstede, and Jeroen Kremers, highlights Big Dutchman’s commitment to Thailand and the Asian market. Joined by esteemed guests and industry partners, the celebration featured traditional Thai gestures of goodwill and prosperity. This state-of-the-art facility boosts spare parts availability, shortens logistics time, and strengthens customer support. We’re also thrilled about our upcoming 2025 showroom launch, showcasing innovative poultry and pig solutions.
HQ Visit by Students of the National Institute of Technology (KOSEN) Oyama College, Japan
We were delighted to host 40 students from the National Institute of Technology (KOSEN) Oyama College at our Big Dutchman Asia HQ in Klang, Malaysia. The students, led by Dr. Kobayashi Motosumi and guided by Mr. Manabu Fujino and the Nakano Construction team, explored our facility’s unique architectural design. They were particularly fascinated by the seamless blend of Malaysian and German styles, along with innovative features like the movable vertical louvre—a testament to modern, sustainable architecture
Completion of a 50,000-bird Turnkey Layer Farm in Cambodia
We embarked on an exciting turnkey project for a layer farm in Cambodia, successfully completing it ahead of schedule. This comprehensive solution featured our advanced UVL600+ technology, ensuring superior in-house ventilation for healthier birds and improved production efficiency. The farm includes five houses, each accommodating 40,960 birds, with complete building construction, equipment installation, electrical systems, and egg conveyors managed by our expert teams. We extend heartfelt thanks to our dedicated teams from Big Dutchman Asia, Thailand, and Cambodia for delivering this project seamlessly, showcasing our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
Seminar and Strategic Alliance with Vietnam’s Green Ecofarm Joint Stock Company
We were thrilled to host an insightful egg seminar and formalise a strategic cooperation agreement with Green Ecofarm Joint Stock Company at our Big Dutchman Asia Headquarters in Klang, Malaysia. This partnership marks a significant step in advancing Vietnam’s poultry industry, with Big Dutchman providing innovative equipment and sustainable farming solutions. The agreement, signed by Mr. Bui Nhu Ngoc of Green Ecofarm and Mr. Pieter Buijs of Big Dutchman Vietnam, was attended by our Joint Managing Directors, Mr. Fatt Chin Kok and Mr. Janjaap van der Mark. Together, we aim to drive sustainable growth and innovation in Vietnamese poultry farming.
Unveiling of Big Dutchman’s New Core Mission Statement
We celebrated a historic milestone at Big Dutchman with our then CEO, Dr. Frank Hiller, addressing 3,200 employees worldwide. Together, we proudly unveiled our new mission statement—a reflection of our core values and commitment to future generations. Each employee received a beautifully bound handbook outlining who we are and what we stand for, serving as a daily reminder to uphold our values and always THINK BIG. A proud moment for our global Big Dutchman family!
Asia’s Regional Customer Service Summit
Big Dutchman Regional Office in Malaysia proudly hosted the Regional Customer Service Summit 2024, bringing together our dedicated regional teams for an enriching and collaborative experience. The summit emphasised our unwavering commitment to putting customers first by fostering knowledge-sharing, strengthening partnerships, and enhancing service excellence. It was an incredible opportunity to align our strategies, share best practices, and reaffirm our ethos of delivering world-class customer support. Together, we continue to prioritise and empower our customers.
Assessing the Future of Pig Production in Cambodia
The Big Dutchman team, in partnership with CP Cambodia, hosted an inspiring seminar on the future of pig production, bringing together 80 industry leaders. The event showcased cutting-edge solutions like Waste Management, BFN Fusion Cloud Farm Management, Turnkey Solutions, and the DR6500 Automated Feeding System, sparking great interest among attendees. A heartfelt thank you to all who participated and to the Senior Vice President of CP Cambodia for chairing this insightful session. Together, we’re driving efficiency and sustainable farming forward.
Big Dutchman’s Official Webshop Goes Live!
In a game-changing initiative, Big Dutchman Asia brought the convenience of e-shopping to its customers in Malaysia. The webshop is the fastest and easiest way for customers to order spare parts with essentially the entire parts catalogue available online. Customers were also treated to a 5% discount off total purchase price as an encouragement to shop online. Although now only available to customers in Malaysia, the webshop will be available to the rest of Asia in phases in the months and years to come.
New Office Grand Opening in Hanoi, Vietnam
Another milestone for 2024 with two remarkable celebrations in Vietnam: the opening of our Hanoi office and a vibrant Year-End Gala at Binh Quoi Tourist Village. The Hanoi office inauguration, led by Managing Director Mr. Pieter Buijs, symbolised our commitment to supporting customers in North Vietnam while honouring local traditions. These events reflect our dedication to growth, community, and strengthening relationships with our partners as we continue to expand in the region.
A Successful Outing at EuroTier 2024
This year’s EuroTier event was innovatively thriving. As usual, Big Dutchman’s booth was the centre of attraction with knowledge exchange, innovation and the opportunity to connect. The Orange Forum was also a highlight this year with interesting presentations by top executives of Big Dutchman from across the world. To cap off an exciting event, Big Dutchman also won multiple Innovation Awards with 3 Silvers for Sharky 430 Automatic Cleaning Robot, MultiVacc Poultry Vaccinator and BioTag+ Pig Sensor.
